Kochi: Twenty 20 High power committee Convention 2018 has decided to implement self-employment schemes to increase household income. Projects that cover cow, rabbits, Buffalo, Folk poultry, fish rearing, vegetable farming and jasmine cultivation are benefiting over 4500 families. It has also been decided to plant mango, rambutan, papaya, and plum, if the homeowners were willing to do it.
A note of projects and possibilities will be supplied to all households and their interest will be elicited for implementing the projects effectively. Twenty20 Chief Coordinator Sabu M. Jacob said that through the self-employment projects Kizhakambalam native households can earn Rs 8000 to Rs 12000 per month and an amount of Rs 61.44 crore would be earned collectively by them annually at Kizhakamabalam.
An awareness campaign on Anti-Drugs has been organised by Excise Department. Sujith PS, Sub Inspected of Excise, Mamala promised to give all assistance to turn Kizhakkambalam in to a Drug Free panchayat. Toppers in the Plus Two and SSLC March 2018 examinations were honoured by distributing gold coins during the program. Along with that Twenty 20 honoured Bava Hameed from Vazhakkala who bought and hand-over 2.5 cents of land for 5 family. Around 2,000 people from different wards attended the meeting.
KV Jacob, Panchayat President, Kizhakkambalam presided over the function. Progress of Development activities like Road Development, House construction, Paddy cultivation, and Vegetable cultivation was also discussed. Bobby M Jacob, Chairman, Twenty 20, twenty members CP Philipose, Agustin Antony, Ulahannan PE, VS Kunjumuhammed and Panchayat Members also graced the occasion.
